Gratitude Week Day 1 : Steph Weibring
See The Good On Gratitude
Good morning, happy Monday! Welcome to the first day of Gratitude Week with Joy Creative Shop. We're so happy you're here! Let's take a moment to be grateful.
Each day we'll be sending a prompt, a video, a text, some book passages that are read by myself, or team members of ours, or friends of Joy Creative Shop, and we can't wait to help you grow your gratitude practice.
The book that I'm going to be reading from today is called "See the Good." It's by Zach Windahl, and he is a recent Instagram follow that I have gotten to love, and every day I listen to the passage that he reads. And then I purchased a few of his books and have been thrilled. So I thought I'd share with you a passage from chapter eight that's called "See the Good On Gratitude."
It says, "Psychologists have been discussing the effects of gratitude for the longest time. Not only does gratitude impact our relationship with God, but it also improves our wellbeing. Gratitude is known to increase self-esteem, make people like us, make us more optimistic, improve our friendships, improve romantic relationships, improve sleep, improve decision-making, relieve stress, reduce blood sugar. The list goes on and on."
So we challenge you: How can we work on gratitude today? Maybe a text to a friend. A quick one minute gratitude practice of listing off the three things that you're most grateful for. See you tomorrow!
