Joyful Journal v.29 - End of Year & Christmas Edition

The Joyful Journal: End of Year & Christmas Edition

As the year winds down and the calendar fills with twinkly lights, cozy nights, and meaningful moments, I’ve been craving one thing most: space to pause.

This season isn’t just about what we’re wrapping or gifting (though I love both 😉). It’s about reflecting on where we’ve been, celebrating what filled us up, and savoring the little joys that made this year what it was.

This Mel Robbins podcast was such a great listen for end of year vibes & intention.

So today’s Joyful Journal is part reflection, part inspiration — a few things I’ve loved lately, some seasonal favorites, and gentle encouragement as we step into the final days of the year.

Put your feet up & pour something warm, slow down for a moment, and settle in.

A Few Reflections as the Year Closes

This year reminded me that joy doesn’t always come from big wins or perfectly planned moments. It was a year of growth, uncomfortable moments, but with the right perspective and slowing down long enough to reflect, JOY was always there.

I’m giving myself a handwritten permission slip to do less, savor more and end the year grateful, not rushed. I’d love for you to do the same if you need it.

Things I’ve Loved Lately

These are a few favorites that have been on repeat this season — some worn, some used and some I bought as a gift that I can’t wait for them to receive.

These boots make me feel officially Texan. They were a gift to me that i’ll love for years to come.

This spray is a teen favorite that I shared with my 40-something friends that they loved too. Clean & Refreshing & makes a great gift.

This bundle that is now on sale, was a life saver. My tree looks JOYFUL and I genuinely loved wrapping and having this ribbon to finish all my gifts!

This book was my favorite of the year. It was gifted to me and I gifted it 5-6 times this season. Such a great way to start the new year.

Eyeing this for our New Years festivities! Love the sparkle!

A Few Seasonal Favorites from My Kitchen

This time of year, recipes don’t have to be fancy — they just need to feel nostalgic and comforting.

A few favorites recipes on repeat:

As We Head into Christmas…

If there’s one thing I hope you carry into the next few weeks, it’s this: you don’t have to do it all to make it meaningful.

The simplest traditions and memories do mean the most. It’s easy to get caught up in the social media show, but it’s what happens within your four walls that is what life is really about.

Remember, when in doubt:

  • The handwritten note matters
  • The shared meal with friends or family matters, even if it’s take out
  • The intention behind the gift is what is most important

From my heart (and our Joy Creative Shop family) to yours — thank you for being here, for supporting small business, and for letting joy lead the way this year.

With so much gratitude,
